Mentoring
Inspired by Diana Kimball’s /mentoring I’m making myself available to anyone who wants to explore learning together.
My life is filled with amazing mentors. From my 10th grade art teacher, Mr. Gaines, to my father, to Harry Winston, the first Creative Director I worked for fresh out of college. There are countless more. I am indebted to all of them. Mostly because they taught me so much and instilled in me the notion that it is wonderful to be inquisitive. I love learning.
My path to where I am at today as Community Manager for ex.fm is winding and interesting and I believe I have at least a little wisdom to share. I’d love to meet with smart, talented, open-minded people and discuss how our interests and skills might overlap to do something wonderful.
If you’d like to get together, write me and tell me a little bit about yourself. I promise to respond to every letter I receive. Yes, every single one. So write.
You can write me at kirk@ex.fm. Be sure to:
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. How did you become who you are and who do you want to become?
3. What do you want from our mentoring relationship?
4. What’s the best thing you’ve read, watched, or listened to lately?
Please add links to any profiles or projects you’re most proud about.
Let’s get to know each other. I’m sure something great can come of it.
